Marketing and Publicity Account Manager

Position Summary

Responsibilities

An Account Manager is a mid-level position which oversees the marketing and publicity activities for multiple touring Broadway productions across North America.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Managing full funnel show campaigns including the development and implementation of marketing and publicity plans, budgets and timelines

· Developing independent relationships and working in lock step with marketing and publicity directors across the country to coordinate and implement show marketing strategy both strategically and operationally

· Owning all market and producer facing aspects of marketing and publicity campaigns

· Reviewing sales data on an ongoing basis to recommend and refine marketing and publicity strategy.

· Using systems that track media plans, budgets, revenue projections, press clippings for each show to the max benefit—with an eye to finding efficiencies and best practices for the office

· Thinking big—development of big picture concepts, ideas and partners to elevate our shows and increase sales.

· Additionally, all team members are asked to assist the office on a variety of projects as assigned.

Ideally, candidates will possess the following qualifications:

· Minimum of 4+ years applicable marketing or publicity experience anD/or internships

· Positive, solution-based communication style and comfortable demeanor with a range of individuals, including co-workers, industry colleagues and clients

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and good judgment

· Comfort with and ease for presenting and speaking in groups

· Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· A commitment to being curious and excited by the opportunity to learn new things

· Ability to lead people and get results through others

· Ability to work effectively with senior-level staff, while also comfortable managing projects independently

· Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)

· Knowledge and proficiency of InDesign and Photoshop (preferred)

The Account Manager is expected to reside in the New York City area. The position will be full-time, exempt and will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Account Strategy and Partnerships. Salary range is high 50s to mid-70s, commensurate with experience.

INTERNSHIPS (Applications accepted on a rolling basis)

An internship in the Bond Theatrical offices will provide interns a “crash course” in touring Broadway, with the opportunity to learn across all departments in the company (tour booking, operations, marketing and publicity.) We approach all projects strategically as an office and encourage open and free exchange of ideas among team members. Interns will be expected and encouraged to jump in to the fold, making projects their own from day one. 

Working in collaboration with supervisors in each area, interns will be asked to assist on a variety of projects, including but not limited to: 

  • Collecting daily press clips and social media monitoring. 
  • Development of social media content/content calendars for various projects. 
  • Marketing partnership research, outreach and brainstorming.  
  • Review and archiving of marketing activities, plans and results. 
  • General office maintenance—updating databases, maintenance of spreadsheets and art files, upkeep of files, servers and office systems, etc. 
  • Assisting with drafting, organizing, and issuing contracts 
  • Assisting with financial spreadsheet reporting and analysis 
  • Providing logistical support for office and special events

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

  • Interest and excitement for Broadway and touring entertainment. 
  • Relevant field of study. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong interpersonal, creative and analytical skills 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc) 
  • Knowledge of Canva, InDesign and/or Photoshop 
  • Ability to communicate effectively, efficiently and positively with co-workers, industry colleagues and clients.

Marketing and Publicity Account Assistant

Position Summary

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a Marketing and Publicity Account Account Assistant is assisting colleagues on the marketing and publicity activities for multiple touring Broadway productions across North America.  \ \ Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assisting on show campaigns including development of marketing and publicity materials, maintenance of budgets and timelines and day-to-day operational functions within. 
  • Assisting in the maintenance of systems used to track media plans, budgets, revenue projections, press clippings for each show 
  • Compiling data for analysis to inform strategy 
  • Collaborating with account managers and partners to implement show marketing and publicity strategy operationally. 
  • Executing administrative tasks to keep the projects organized—scheduling meetings, coordinating travel, accounts payable filing, maintaining organization and detail-oriented work 
  • Additionally, all team members are asked to assist the office on a variety of projects as assigned.  

Ideally, candidates will possess the following qualifications:  

  • 0-2 years office, marketing or publicity experience or internships 
  • Positive, solution-based communication style and comfortable demeanor with a range of individuals, including co-workers and industry colleagues. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and good judgment 
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

The Account Assistant expected to reside in the New York City area. The position will be full-time, non-exempt and will report directly to the Senior Vice President, Account Strategy and Partnerships. Salary range is commensurate low 40s to mid 50s, commensurate with experience.
